Whenever I cook I like to have some music playing and I always turn to Otis Redding. He is just the greatest. I know I’m not alone in this practice (hello Zach and Lightnin’ Hopkins).
Otis Redding – Try A Little Tenderness
Otis Redding – Dock Of The Bay
I don’t know why it is, but it seems like this era of recording focused more or differently on the singer’s voice than today.
I feel like he is singing into my ear in Dock of the Bay especially.

Also, I hadn’t heard the last two songs. Well chosen.
